Broader Serving Opportunities

Broader Serving Opportunities

We do not stand alone in the church or the world. Epiphany partners and serves with the following
organizations to serve and create broader serving opportunities.

Network of Community Ministries

Epiphany is one of the founding members of the Network of Community Ministries. Network of
Community Ministries is a 501c3 nonprofit organization with a service area encompassing the entirety of
the 14 zip codes in Dallas County that make up the Richardson ISD. Founded in 1985, Network began
during an economic downturn when several churches and community organizations came together to
form an alliance to assist families in need, and thus the term “Network” of Community Ministries was
born.
Today, Network is a non-denominational, community-based organization serving nearly 60,000
individuals annually. Its mission is to care for, coach, and empower our neighbors in need as they seek
an improved quality of life. Current programming at Network includes Basic Needs Services (Onsite
Food Market and Mobile Food Market, Clothing Closet, utilities, rent, and income supports), Seniors’ Net
( Seniors Day activities, supplemental food, handyman service, home food delivery, and holiday baskets,
companion calls, information, and referrals), Stabilization Programs (Pathways program stability
planning, adult education classes), MiniLoan initiative, Career Services, a Dental voucher program, and
seasonal youth programming including “Tools for Schools” backpack program, and Toyland Express.

Gateway of Grace

Gateway of Grace serves the refugees. According to their description, “Gateway of Grace’s Educational
and Community ministries provide English as a Second Language and citizenship classes, children’s
educational programs and ESL and special event transportation among many other services. We help
refugees furnish their apartments, find jobs, enroll their children in school and begin the path toward
developing new relationships and healthy communities. Each refugee family has unique circumstances.
Gateway of Grace responds to each family’s specific needs with a needs assessment and plan of action.
We empower refugee families with basic resources and celebrate their arrival, ensuring each new
member flourishes in their new home. We passionately embrace that the sovereign Lord has brought
refugee families to us for the purposes of healing, restoration and experiencing Christ’s love.”

International Students

Students from all over the world come to study in the United States. Many of them come to experience
Christ’s love through the church while studying here. This treasure stays with them and goes with them
when they leave. Epiphany partners with and hosts programs like Friendship Partners that give church
members the opportunity to share Christ’s love with international students. On the other hand,
international students bring their cultural and personal experience to the fellowship and find trusted
friends to share life here in the United States.
